Up three more feet over the weekend. Must have had a gully washer upstream because they only got about 1/2" around the lake Saturday. At one point the lake was rising .33 feet per hour. Now almost 7.5' high.

Gonna go back Wednesday to see If I can stir up some more top water action in the flooded brush.

Looks like the lake crested at 11', just checked and we're at 10.9" and dropping.
Anyway went back to same spot I wacked them at a couple of weeks ago, had one big blowup on the chug bug and nothing else. If I had to guess, I think all the older vegetation that flooded (and was holding fish) has now died and is starting to deplete the shallow water of O2. Saw no perch, no shad and no minnows in the new flooded stuff, and lots of dead floating vegetation.
Gonna check a few chunk rock points with some current next time wink

I had heard that the Corp of Engineers will be letting out water for the next couple of weeks. Lots of water coming into the lake from Kerville area. eeks
