Kent and I did not attempt Lake Travis this weekend as we usually do. The lake level is just too high in my opinion. We didn't fish Saturday only Sunday. We went to Decker first, then Georgetown.
So...
I blanked at Decker lol. That lake and I have never gotten along. Kent got into a mess of Crappie. I went through my whole tackle box trying to find the golden ticket, and I think it got lost in the mail. They wouldn't bite anything I own. The lake taunts me hence for the "crappie day" I was experiencing.
Afterwards, I up and decided two hours later after we got home that I'm going to Gtown to catch something, anything. And thankfully I did! I caught several small gills, BUT didn't blank. Whew!
I put together a video of Kent's crappie here CLICK FOR VIDEO
I had to wade a bit out to find something that could possibly hold something. I've never been so happy to see a fish!
Also, the flooding is unreal. It's difficult to grasp how much rain has fallen. Have a good week everyone.

Damn frustrating getting your butt kicked by a fly guy! 😉 Bum shoulder ended my longrodding, so resort to fly/bubble technique when typical spinning baits aren't working. Glad you found some 'gills later!
