New to fishing Lewisville and just got a small boat. Would love to catch some whites or anything other than bluegill for that matter. Any pointers for fishing near 121 marina. Can't go to far bc boat is small.

I found some at the 121 cut a couple weeks ago. That's probably your best bet for whites if you can't go out too far. Download the navionics app on your phone, I think it's like $10 but it's totally worth it. There are a bunch of spots marked on it you can go try out.

I have naviionics app but I don't see many marked spots near 121. Would you just bounce slabs off the bottom near the cut?

Watch for dropoffs/depth changes around the cut & you'll usually see fish marking on your sonar. Word of advice - fish off to the side of the cut, not in the middle of the channel. You'll get run over by big boats that don't bother slowing down to a 'no wake' speed.

If you don't mind making a little run across the lake, there's usually fish along the shorelines & humps at the Lake Park golf course area (west end of the dam).

Oh. Well, fish the west side of the cut, both sides (or whereever you see fishing boats at work). Bottom bouncing slabs to determine depth & depth changes would work. Also casting tailspinners towards the shoreline/shallows & retrieving to deeper water.

Thanks for the advise guys! It was just too rough and too many boats for us to realy fish effectively. We tryed for a bit but headed in to the docks and my 8yo son caught some bluegill on worms. We will try again during the week. Still open to any more tips for fishing near 121 marina.

If you could put in at another ramp where would you go for close fishing? Little elm would be good for me, anything near there?

The cove around tower bay appears to hold some good fish. When I launch there it is always signals going off on my graph at about 15' depth in 20-28' of water by the Marina. I see people fishing along the highway and the bank along the entrance. It is pretty protected from wind. If the winds are not bad you can hug the shoreline and head towards the I-35 bridge and fish around the pillars. In seems to be a natural area for crappie.

Thanks guys. Still trying to figure it out. I ordered a Dragonfly 4pro that should help me see some fish and get into them better.
