What happened to all the hydrilla beds that use to grow all over the lake? Is it still early or is it just due to the water fluctuations that 9ts not growing

Fluctuating water levels has caused it to go dormant. Hydrilla has to have stable conditions for a long time to get a start. Once it gets started then it will take two seasons to get to the maximum height in growth. New water is fertile water and if the old beds are in the right depth with the right light penetration then it will start growing.

Bobby unfortunately we haven't had big hydrilla beds on Roberts in a very long time. Very late 90's, since it was all over the place. Some hydrilla would try to grow and just wouldn't last and wouldn't spread. Sucks!

Now we have had plenty of millfoil off an on since then, but as stated the high water keeps killing it off. I have only seen a tiny bit of grass in two places this year, and it is gone again.

Same as Rayburn and Toledo, high water did a number on the grass.
