My baby boy is graduating tonight. (By baby I mean 6'3" young man) I look back at all the fishing, 4x4ing and camping we have done which has tapered off in the past few years. He does not have time or the inclination to hang out with me anymore with work, girlfriend and buddies and soon college taking his time. I miss him getting real close to me, putting his head on my shoulder and his arms around me on a cool morning run across the lake looking up at me like a am the coolest person in the world.

Call me a sap, I love my boy.

Anyone else got kids growing up and becoming independent? I have heard when they get through college they kind of come back if you know what I mean.

I guess just let "nature take it course", hope he sticks to the values and morals we imparted upon him and let him become an adult on his own. What do you think?

Mine is over 30 now and out of state. He calls and texts me regular. It wasn't always so. He misses you too.
