Well Lake Arlington, it's been real, but after so many trips of zeroing out or snagging a dink I think it is time I bid you farewell. No longer shall my mind suffer from the pain of so many hours wasted. I know you hold 7+ fish but alas I have not found them and I cannot bring myself to waste any more time.

This is why I have chosen Mexico. We drive down and pull the boats. I like that 100 fish per day business. I can go once a month for what it cost to fish tournaments every weekend. Now that I have retired and can go anytime, it has become a reality, with a few private lakes thrown into the mix.

Part of the fun, for me, is trying to figure the bite out on a tough lake.

If you want to just catch fish try lake Athens, it's one of the easiet lakes to catch fish on anywhere...

With the water conditions and time of year the fishing has been tough for me too, I prefer to power fish if possible, usually start with a squarebill or spinnerbait and cover water, then flip any bushes or docks along the bank.

Haha I've tamed joe pool and figured her out pretty good.

Yet I will go out there and not catch anything.

IMO Lake Arlington is a pretty tough lake. I haven't spent as much time there this year because some days I just want to catch numbers.
