After raining most of the week, the rain held off for most of this morning. Just one major rain cloud rolled over Cedar Creek for about 15 minutes, but that didn't dampen the spirits of 16 junior anglers. With the gates opened up, the bite had slowed, but there were still some impressive stringers and big fish brought in.
There was a tie for big fish with Savanah H and Addie E both bringing a 1.78 lb brute to the scales.
Addie E also had big stringer with 5 fish hitting the 5.67 mark.
Wyatt S put 5 fish on the scales at 5.40 for second place and a big fish at 1.29.
His sister, Gracis S, put her 5 fish up next and the scales read 5.39 for third place.
Fourth place went to Langdon F with 5 fish also at 5.39. But Gracie had the tie breaker with a bigger fish at 1.43. Langdon's big fish went 1.19
Fifth place was Cindy G at 5.19 and big fish at 1.21.

With the girls taking 3 of the top five spots, the boys are gona have to regroup for next year.
There were lots of prizes, $25 Wal-Mart gift cards and tackle packs for all participants and some special prizes in the drawings. Two nice bicycles were given away and plenty of other nice prizes. Constant Pursuit Outfitters, Lane Palmer, surprised one lucky angler, Mason J, with a $100 bonus for the lightest 5 fish. That produced a big smile for sure.

Lots of smiles and good times for all.

Good report Ken. Thank you! We really enjoyed the JR angler tournament today. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. The kids prizes and awards were great, and it's awesome to see what the fine people of CAT do for the kiddos!

Yesterday was awesome!! Little man and Cindy Lou had a blast!! Fishing was a lot tougher than it was the other day. We did get on one pile and Cindy Lou stroked em cast after cast swimming a jig! Little man couldn't figure that out and it was frustrating him! I finally changed out his little rod with my 7' G Rod so I could try and tell him when he had a bite and he caught a few but they were small by then!! Cindy done had all the keepers in the livewell by then!!

When we left that pile he gave me a serious look and said he wanted to go fish a dock!!! roflmao

I took off to one I know that has a lot of room under it and he put on a dock shooting clinic for Cindy Lou!! Then he was back to grinning!! Got poured on fishing the dock so we left there for the bridge in case it rained anymore and he managed one good fish there. CC is such a fun lake!! Hope it's back on the schedule next year for the kids tourney and the big kids too!!!
Thanks yall!!! thumb

thumb thumb Such a great organization! Great people involved, lots of fun at the events! Not only tournaments for the kids only, but a reminder for those with older kiddos, a SCHOLARASHIP FOR THE KIDS TOO!
