Hey Yall-
My friend wants to go out fishing for the first time in his life this upcoming week, and I was wondering where I should take him around Houston.
I wanted to find some area with Catfish or bream, something that can be caught easy, and fries good.
Tight Lines,
Will

If you check out the Texas Bank fishing map (on Google maps) there are a number of spots in far-west Houston area and several into the suburbs. If you want to stay within the city, Buffalo Bayou should have both of those species, plus others. West of the Same Houston Tollway there is a very long bike trail that parallels the bayou, so there is tons of bank access. Not completely sure but at one of the crossroads (I think Dairy Ashford Rd) there is a public parking lot. Brays Bayou also has a lot of fish and bank access, but since it basically runs along a cement ditch there is a steep walk with poor traction to get down to the water.
Good luck and let us know how you do!
