just as the Crappie settle down and start to bite here comes the rain!.they shut the flood gate and over night the lake goes up 1/2 foot.! when will this ever stop....thank goodness the spawn is over!

Feel your pain. We just hammered them in our slip from spring break till it flooded our lake ( Whitney ). Then last weekend I put the pontoon boat back in the slip . and caught them all weekend above all the bamboo I put in. And now ??? 23ft. above level. I give up this year. At least tomorrow we are going to Galveston and have a house on the beach rented for a week. I guess the Texas lakes are just gone for this summer. They have canceled our Bohemian Bass Classic twice already , now saying maybe late August.

I think "I Hope" we are coming to the end and by mid summer we should be back to normal. We should pray for those down south now.
