I haven't had a chance to post since the last Media Lake Fork tournament. I had double knee replacement days right after the tournament. This is the scenario that took place. There is a point we fish this time of year and usually holds a variety of small keepers, good unders, & slot fish. I hadn't had a chance to prefish this year to tell which fish are there first. They usually come in waves or sometimes they are mixed together. But, are usually always there. The ute here usually last for 30-45 minutes and then is done.

Now, comes the drama. My son and I are boat #8. So, we are the first ones there. As soon as we pull up fish are chasing shad. We quickly put two keepers in the boat. 1# each. Then this boat pulls up behind us to the deeper water and he stops and it is one of those things where you figure he is thinking they got on my spot. Now the main arm of the lake runs mainly North to South. The point runs parrell to this arm instead of running perpendicular to the arm. So we are throwing across it. This guy fishing alone goes around us and drives with the big engine in gear straight down the point until it gets to about 2' of water. Then veers of to the other side of the point and on down the bank. We are yelling at him as loud as we can and he never acknowledges us. He continued on down the bank and stopped and started fishing. I yelled that I hope you can sleep at night. He ignores me. We get one more bite and that point is done.

Now comes the senerio of was it intentionally done. I couldn't fish the JCO Open due to my knees. So, I sent my one of fishing partners there for the start of the Open. Give him all the what fores on how to fish it. He told me the smaller keepers were there first, then the good unders moved in, and then the slots took over. The scenario I mentioned above. By 30 minutes bite was done. He was able to get 7.5# off of it in the first 30 minutes. So, I tell my son how he did and remarks, "Do think that guy did that on purpose to us?" My thoughts now are he may have done it intentionally now. I have been cut-off before and pulled right up next to before. But, I believe this is a first for me on someone doing this.

where is that point and what time were you there and I'll tell you if it was intentional or not.

This is Fork, it happens. Best thing to do is fall in behind em, catch some fish and let em know how glad you are they don't know how to catch em. Worse thing to do is get upset and ruin your day. My 2cents

I don't understand the connection between some random guy out there during a Media tournament and your buddy catching 7.5# in a different tournament.

Fork tournaments sound miserable

I would have to say it was intentional. More and more people just don't have respect for others.

I think l know the point you are talking about. My cousin and l were fishing c-rigs about 75 yards off the bank across the point, three boats came in and out of the cove side of the point between us and the bank, one had to trim up because he was dragging bottom. They didn't have a clue !!
