I just won a Manley Rod from Angler Combat and was wondering if anyone out there has ever used these rods and what you can tell me about them. From what I can tell online they seem to be a pretty good rod. I like the length adjustment and the counter weight concepts. I have an '05 Ranger and the max length rod I can squeeze into it is a 7' 6". I have three rods over that length that sit on the deck when I am out fishing. I ordered the 7' 8" (adjusts to 7' 2") heavy action for flipping heavy cover. Any input on these rods would be appreciated.

They're pretty good rods. Some people think the adjustable handle is a gimmick, some like it. The rod itself is quality though.

They make a very high quality rod at a fair price.

I have a Manley medium/heavy spinning rod with micro guides that I rigged up with a Penn reel for saltwater use (inshore, redfish, etc.). I also use it for shakey head and some topwater when bass fishing. Love it! Seems to be very high quality. It feels good and the grips are nice. I keep the length adjustment counterweight all the way in so that the rod is balanced in my hand when holding it (I like to hold it just in front of the reel). I assume it helps prevent fatigue to a degree. Due to where i like to hold a spinning rod, I also appreciate the nice grips in front of the spinning reel. The design is well thought out.

Junk if you catch big fish. Also my "adjust a butt" bent the first trip.

I have a couple of their rods and for what I paid I was very happy ($50 during a clearout sale). I do agree that the adjust a butt seems like a gimmick. I keep mine all the way in and have never come across a situation where I liked it better adjusted out.
