Wanting to try for some catfish, mainly blues.Where should I fish at? Should I go to the upper end where all the stumps and stuff is or down past the 1097(?) bridge somewhere.
Thanks for any advice

Just got a boat so don't know much about any lakes. I want to fish Lake Conroe. Not looking for a honeyhole- just a place where I might have a good time catching a few cats...

Thanks 4 any advice

At Lake Conroe, would I have any luck if I fished with my boat around the FM1375 bridge area? Know nothing about the lake except what's on the internet.

I boat there mostly, have tried to fish a bit but nothing serious. Everything south of the 1097 is go fast boats and jet fleas. I have dropped some jugs at the entrance to some of the coves with no luck, but I know people catch there. I am going this weekend and will actually use my fish finder and try to focus on some spots. The bulkhead bite was on a few weeks back with the shad spawn. I have been told use range cubes for cum and they come running.

Not sure what all of this rainwater is doing for the conditions.

Thanks for the reply

I think I will try around the FM1375 bridge area. I know nothing about the lake but would like to learn more; for bank and boat fishing the lake.

I am going tonight to the lake. Going to fish in my boat around the FM1375 bridge and back down to stow a way boat ramp where I am putting in at.

Got skunked. Was there from about 9pm-1am. Not even a bite. Tried several areas .
