I cut a slot in the face of the Frabil crappie chekr..while fish is still on the line, I can drop it right on the crappie and slide him up tight..sure saves getting finned trying to put him in.
Gman Now THAT'S a GREAT idea! I'm gonna modify mine this weekend while the Stratos is down. Thanks for thinking of it!

Gman Thanks for the idea, I will use it too. Most of the time if I am by myself I don't measure as I only keep those that are definitely bigger than 10". But I will go with your idea for when my friends are with me as they insist on measuring and I am tired of fighting to get the fish in that holder, what an awesome way to do it, set it over the fish while holding the line, then turn it head down to read it. Now all this assumes the hook does not come out and it flops all over the boat anyway.

Thanks DW for the lead on Monks. I ordered two on Sat. and they arrived on Wed. I hate the clear ones.

We need shut up and fish bonehead and pro angler to stock these Agreed. I will call David and discuss; carry the ones with the opening along the middle so you can measure fish while still on the line, and with the hole and needle to deflate the bladder. This part is needed so that the deep ones can return to the deep after being caught!

Also, I tie a big float to mine.. Lost a few... Safe than sorry... Good fishin'

I just use a golden rule.
Might need to measure a ditch pickle or mr. Whiskers.
