So I grew up a Shimano boy... But let me tell you, 13 fishing is no joke. I've started to completely switch over to them.

Anyone else made the switch?

I have a couple blacks that I really like and also 2 moderates and 3 mediums. Really the mediums are just to lite and break to easy and the moderates also break to easy. Knock on wood the blacks are the heavy and really do well with them. There warranty works really well and never no problems. I also have some halo's that I like also and have done well with them but the halo's I believe have stopped there 10 year and 15 year warranty I believe. Tried to get ahold of them for information but don't seem to answer e-mails or phone calls, but really like there rods but they do not want to answer your question so I guess that will be the last halo I buy. But back to 13 fishing there warrant and there blacks seem to be the best out of all the rods that I have. Hope this helps and good luck.

I just ordered an Inception from Tackle Warehouse yesterday. I'm happy to be reading this post right now! I wanted to try it out before spending more money on one of the concept reels. Paired it with a No. 8 Tackle co blackout rod. Hopefully I can try it out soon if it's not raining for the next century!

Best reels I have ever used. I have 3 of the "E"'s and 1 KP for now but slowly adding more. I'm a huge fan so far.

First post here and I'm not here to slam 13 Fishing but my son and I have had very bad luck with their reels. Started out loving them but started having the same issues 7-8 months in to owning them. Line guide sticks to the far left followed by handle locking up within a few weeks. It has happened on both E's, one C, and one A. So far my KP hasn't had any issues. We own 9 13 Fishing feels but are in the process of returning all of them. We have not had any issues with the new models so hopefully the issue was resolved. It stinks because I spent a lot of money on their reels and my son took every dollar from Christmas, birthdays, mowing the yard to buy his reels and he really liked them. They are very well maintained also, maintenance is not the issue.

Man, I am sorry to hear that. I have had no bad experiences with them at all.

Great, glad you haven't had any issues and I know any reel can give problems. 13 Fishing did take the E's we bought directly from them back and they are giving us a refund. They repaired one of the E's a couple of months ago then the other E did the same exact thing. Then my C had the same issue as my son's E's which was when I gave up on them. They are some of the smoothest reels I have used and we really liked them which is why we kept buying them. As of two days ago all of them have been returned except for my KP which I plan on keeping as long as I don't have the same issue with it. It's pretty new so I have quite a while before the warranty is up.
