I took my wife out for an afternoon run on Cedar Creek yesterday. We searched lots of water to try to establish a quick pattern and found the fish holding in 14 to 19 feet of water and caught several large whites and a few small hybrids on just about every stop. As we made our way up the lake the fishing got better and better until we hit the mother load. It was a hybrid every throw for about 45 min. We caught lots of 3 to 5 pounders with the occasional 7 or 8 pounder. Then I heard the signature drag peel of Lenora’s spinning real and knew she had a toad. The big fish came in at 29 inches and 10.8 pounds. It looks like the big girls are back on the prowl at Cedar Creek! I’m sorry the pics are blurry, my phone was a little wet. Most fish were caught on swimbaits, but the big ones hit cranks.
