Hey KingFisher,

I went to this spot after Christmas, and the sign was taken down and replaced with a 'No Trespassing' sign.
243. Private Pay Pond
1309 Kurtz Rd, Columbus, TX 78934

Took the gf to introduce her to some river bass fishing, and it was a big disappointment.

I'm not sure if the property is owned by someone else now or if they're just not allowing it anymore.
Sucks, me and my son really liked that place.

You can also add this Brazos River catfishing spot in Simonton.
1000-1178 Farm to Market 1093
Wallis, TX 77485

I've caught some cats (Channels & Blues) there.
The banks do get very muddy.

It used to be a TPWD-recognized kayak/canoe launch site, however medians were placed in to prevent cars from driving underneath the bridge (not sure why, maybe litterers).

You can still park, but you'll have to do some walking.
Unfortunately, that can also leave your truck prone to a break-in (although I have not had it happened yet).

Thank you for all of the work in creating this map and showing many of the opportunities available to non-boaters.
Outstanding!

I notice there haven't been many submissions lately, so I figured I'd post a spot I went to yesterday. I don't know how good it is, but it looks promising. Looks to be public property to me. No signs or anything. It's the pond on the Southwest corner of 360 and Riverside. The ponds across Riverside belong to a golf course. Wear your boots.

It's behind the apartment complex correct? Off Post and Paddock street. Lots of largemouth, crappies, yellow bass, channel and mud cats, there's gar and carps there too. I used to fished behind the apartment complex. Just drive in and find a parking space. People are friendly. Early morning and late afternoon is really good. You can see largemouth surface action. I have a code to the "Stone Lake " apt. It's an apt right off Post and Paddock. PM me for the code if you need gate access. You can go on the golf course side but there's an old man driving the golf cart around chasing people off. He's acting like a "rental" cop. He's a real jerk. Chased me off one time and threatened to have me arrested for trespassing. There's no sign or anything to indicate it's a private property so that's why I fished on the apartment side. I fished for peace and quiet but this old man went "Rambo" on me.

I lost my kayak in Rowlett creek right under 190 after an epic creek run, if anyone sees it please grab it and let me know 469688857nine, 1 seater sit on top, bright red. I think it's stuck somewhere in the mt bike trails and it will probably end up at Lake Ray Hubbard. Lol

Sorry your spots haven't been posted.

Ongoing health issues are sslowing me down & I'm way behind.

My apologies.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.

New to the richardson area. Looking for some good largemouth spots off the banks. Looked over the maps, but noticed some of these lakes are heavily fished or don't get many bites at them. Any suggestions for places to check out?

Appreciate it.

When I view the fishing map, it is so cluttered that it doesn't make sense and you cant delineate one symbol from another. I am looking at Ray Roberst but all around DFW is very busy. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help
