Do a search on Bob Sandlin. Someone posted a google map of the lake with the boat lane marked. This will help you alot running the lake. East of the R.R. bridge it is wide open. I have not been on the lake much this year. Based on past history I'm sure the bass are get getting into their summer pattern. You can try secondary points to see if they have not migrated to main lake points and humps. The last time I was there (April) there still was no grass. Lots of flooded brush from when the lake was way down but no hydrilla or other "water" grass. It might have come back a little now. Should still get a pretty good top water bite early.
Hopefully someone with more current knowledge will answer.

My club had a 2-day out there weekend before last. Almost everyone said that they caught plenty of short fish, but keepers were hard to come by. A couple even said that they don't think they could have caught a limit with dynamite. I do not have any 1st hand knowledge though, I was at Rayburn for High School Regional. Good Luck!!!
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Boat houses had keeper fish a few weeks ago . A fluke on the outside edge of grass and c-rig shallow in main lake points .

Is sandlin normally a fairly clear lake, similar to monti? I don't trust the .gov Fishing reports. I wondering if it sets up well for a drop shot. Never been on the lake myself

Yeah you shouldn't trust the state fishing reports, cause 90% wrong every time, it seems like it is a repeat every time on several lakes I watch, they have been saying the same things on pines for months!!! No reports but yet there is two or three tournaments every weekend??

Last year at this time, the frog bite was strong. Every year changes, but that's where i would start.
