I like the BB1 Pro's and the Tournament Pro G spool reels. I would get one around 6 or 6.4:1 for a swimbait

For that application I would go with the BB1 Pro.

The new Lew's super duty wide with a 7. something retrieve. Just ordered one from Tackle Warehouse. Did quite a bit of research and decided this was the one to use for swim baits, Alabama rigs, and any other heavy duty fishing situation where heavy line and lots of it would be an asset. Can't wait to get it and use it.

Tournament MB's. they don't cost that much, cast good and do just fine for my weekend tournament fishing.

Thanks, Billy

BB2 Pro Wide or the BB-2Z to save a few bucks. Extremely smooth, easy to palm, reliable.

The Super Duty Wide Spool, BB2 Wide, and BB2 Pro all hold the same amount of line. I'd go with one of those since you'll probably be throwing heavy line on long casts with swimbaits and umbrella rigs on it. The Super Duty Wide is a little beefier and has magnetic brakes while the BB2s both use centrifigual brakes. The BB2 pro is the lightest reel in the group and has the most adjustable brakes. I went with the new Super Duty Wide, and like it a lot. I can't speak to the BB2s, but my BB1 is a great cranking reel.

I didnt see the part about Swimbait. I don't throw the big ones anymore, but would use the wide spool bb1 or whatever it is if I did.

Thanks, Billy

For a 795 I would go with either the regular super duty or the wide version. The extra weight of the reel helps balance that length of rod out and keeps it from feeling tip heavy. The bb1 pro is an awesome reel though and I love mine, but imo that's the better choice reel for what you need.

Thank you for the information and experience of those using the product to which you responded.
I now think the Lew's Super Duty Wide Spool in 7:1 will be my choice.
