Was going to crappie fish but when I saw the traffic I got far away from them. I went to a main lake point and caught a few nice sandies, but they were real spread out. Then I went to a main lake flat in 15-17 FOW and started marking small pods of hybrids on my side scan. I would cast at them and catch 1 or 2 then have to find another pod and catch a couple more. I did that for a few hours and caught some nice Hybrids and a few big sandies. Then the traffic had died down and I shot a couple docks and caught a few dink crappie. Big ones weren't home so I cruised to a nearby point and joined 2 other boats, caught a few good sandies and under hybrids while talking with one of the guys in one of the boats till it was time to head in. First time I've gotten into keeper hybrids since last year, although I haven't targeted them since then either. Was a good day on the water thumb Here's a few pics

Howdy Cowboy,

Would you mind sharing what part of the lake you found the hybrids? Above or below the long Hwy 155 bridge? You don't have to give away your honey holes.

I'm trying to find some action for my family.

Happy boating,

HHH

No problem hipshot. South of 155 you can catch small hybrids and sandies on points north of 155 but I've never caught a keeper that way. Most flats next to ridges, the rides themselves, and major points South of 155 will hold sandbass and lots of under hybrids but they won't be stacked on all of them if any. Just depends on the day. Honestly there's not a whole lot of keeper hybrids in Palestine but there will be in a few years. Let me know how you do.
