As crazy as it sounds....Parts are not yet available as the motor is in mass production. Once they get production finished then and only then will they start producing parts for stock. It is a new motor so production is priority. Hang in there as they will get you taken care of.
Which ASC did you take it to?

I have had nothing but good experiences with MG customer service. Sorry to hear that you are having issues.

thanks... yes that what i have always been told so i made may purchase with confidence.. but selling a product with a warranty and not have the parts available to repair facility to make necessary repairs and cannot tell me when they might become available because they had to recall units and there behind in production. take in to account i have only owned this unit about 28 days and it been a the repair shop for 20 . i do not think asking for a replacement is being unfair (WITCH THEY DECLINED TO DO PER "BLAKE" IN CUSTOMER SERVICE)

I'd be upset also if they were not able to repair it in a timely manner. You'd think under the circumstances, they'd just replace it and keep a customer satisfied rather than brush you off to try and sell to more people. I'd expect more than just a repair if I have to wait because of their lack of planning. Can you imagine buying a car and not be able to use it because they did not plan on being able to honor their warranty by having made replacement parts?
It is good to know how they operate. I'm in the market for a new tm and know not to buy from motor guide on any new products because I'm not going to spend that kind of money for something that I might have to wait on.

Blake isn't the only one working there.

Bought our Xi5 last Spring, had it professionally installed, got home and the tm was malfunctioning right off the bat. Called MG and went through the troubleshooting process over the phone and was unable to fix the tm. MG overnighted new tm and I sent old one back on their dime. Replacement has worked flawlessly since.

Have your service center call it in and explain the problem of not being able to get parts and the age of the trolling motor. I have seen Motorguide replace the trolling motors in this instance, but the repair center (authorized service center) needs to make the call.
