This weekend is my annual 4 day Caddo Trip. With the recent floods I think the lake should be flushed out and pretty clean. Anybody been recently that can offer tips and reports.

I fished the Trooper Burns Big Bass Tournament out there last Saturday. Water levels are getting back to normal and the salvinia is not too bad. Pad fields are starting to pop out in main lake areas where I expect a lot of action is starting up. Saw a lot of shad activity in them in the AM. 10.65 was big bass so they are there.

I think topwaters, chatterbaits, and big worms are a good pattern for this time of year. Mudd is a poster who fishes there a lot and will hopefully chime in for you.

I caught the two biggest grinnel you have ever seen on buzzbaits Saturday morning. Of course I thought I had the big bass winner for about 5 seconds both times. Needless to say those buzzbaits are completely destroyed now. Caught a 3rd place hourly winner (not real big) on chatterbait and a couple of others on wacky rigged senko.

Good luck! If you stay in Uncertain be sure to go eat at Shady Glade. Great folks who got flooded out twice this year. give 'em some business.

Thanks for the update. We always support Shady Glad. We will be back there as well for some burgers and onion rings.

The grinnel (bow-fin) are some awesome fish to catch but they can tear a bait up. I have pop-r's that have teeth marks on them from catching grinnel on Caddo.
