As soon as the water temp gets 75 or above I like to start bringing my cooler with ice on the boat. The Fish Hit The ice right away. Thinking about getting the 65qt RTIC cooler. What kind of cooler do you guys use? Also what size for a 2 man limit with ice? Thanks...

I hate having a big cooler in the boat. I'll bring a couple of frozen 2 liter bottles or milk jugs with me. Set them on one side of the livewell and just keep recirculating the water throughout the day. It keeps the water quite cool.

I use two frozen 2 liter bottles in a 48 qt cooler. It will hold a 3 man limit unless they are all toads. I have a 65 qt RTIC for drinks and food under the leaning post and it is the best cooler on the market for your $$$. My fish aren't good enough for a $$$ cooler. They get the old ones.

I use a 38 qt with a one gallon frozen jug of water. I carry a smaller separate cooler for drinks.

As you can see there is no correct answer other than what works for you. I personally use one of the cube shaped coolers not sure of the #qts. I mainly use it because it is taller, easier to reach from my chair on the front deck, dont have to leave my chair, and it takes up less floor space. But the correct answer is what ever works best for your setup.

Summertime, I try to get out early, and home by noon. It keeps me not too sunburned and the wife not too pissed, so I can do it the next weekend.
