The front live well pump is running constantly. I pull the fuse and it stops. Today, I disconnect the toggle switch thinking the switch was bad. With the switch totally disconnected, when I install the fuse, the pump starts running again.

The last time I use the front live well, the switch worked correctly. This problem started this past Saturday. At this point, the only thing I can think of is two wires are touching.

Replace switch it has issues inside the switch. Easy way to check is with multi meeter set to continuity put probe on each terminal and see if it is switching on and off. If switch is working it is a wiring issue short with another thing on same circuit.

if the switch was completely unhooked and it ran. there's a wire touching another wire somewhere or burned thru to another wire. just don't see any other way to get juice to the pump with the switch disconnected. have you tried tracing the wire(hot)?
i would start at the pump and work back to the switch.
