Problem is there is way to many folks here that are not from here. So their bs follows them.
Then if you go to Lewisville you have to have sleeved arms to get on the water.
The best part of it is that there is not a damn thing we can do about it.
It's a migration of sorts.
Native Texans are being flushed out by getting trampled over by the stamped of jack wagons moving here.
If you want to fish a lake in North Texas the weekend is out unless you can put up with ignorance, and especially a holiday weekend anywhere.

There needs to be a sign on every boat ramp, "TRY NOT TO BE STUPID TODAY"

I think a lot of people are just clueless. Saturday afternoon I had a woman driving a pleasure boat run right between my boat and the point I was fishing. There was half a mile of open water on the other side of me but she just had to run right through there.
I looked at her face when I raised my arms in a "what the heck?" gesture and she appeared to have no idea what she had done. She wasn't malicious, just stupid.

What grinds my gears is those dang kayakers using the ramp taking forever to add all their little baskets and flags and junk.
If you can launch somewhere other than the ramp... please do so for the love of god.

you punched a button on this one!
at last year's Berkley tournament on Fork, I was at a paid ramp that is usually not crowded, especially at 5:00 in the morning. when I got near the ramp, I saw about 4 boats waiting to launch; thought "that's unusual". when I got closer, I could see two kayakers blocking one lane of the 2 lane ramp. they were taking 1 thing at a time out of their truck and putting it in their kayaks. the 4 other bass boats launched, I launched, drove up and parked, went to the bathroom, walked back to my boat, and they were still there unloading and tying down things. I said something to them, and got that 'dumba$$' look that we've all seen.
there is a really nice grass area (mowed) right next to the ramp. I don't understand why they were blocking the ramp when they could have put their kayaks on the grass and prepped them there. in fact, wouldn't that be better for the kayak (launching off grass rather than the concrete ramp)?
