I don't understand what goes through some of these peoples heads. If you are wiping down your boat on the ramp I will ask you politely (once) to move. If your boat is knowingly tied to the dock so that others cannot launch/load, it will get untied. If you don't know the common sense procedure of how to act at a boat ramp you have no business being there.

untie my boat I dare you

If I cannot load my boat because your boat is in the way AND after I have tried to find you to nicely ask you to move it, then I WILL move it myself. I will be super nice, and very respectful at first. But if I cannot get off the water when I need to then I will do what it takes. Now, I will not set your boat adrift. I'm not that guy. But I will move it if I can't find you.

I am by far no were near perfect and could be found hypocritical of this but when I control emotion and think clearly I try to do the right thing. I wish people were raised better. I am trying to teach my 3 little ones to be polite and curitious but when you have disgustingly rude jerks like those guys, it seems we should all be MMA fighters and give these people attitude adjustments like what Hank Williams Jr. sang about. I know that would not help either but it sounds good. Too many people don't have any self respect and don't have any respect for any authority like police or morals. It is a sad world we live in when it seems most people are just taking advantage of everything and including others as much as they can. They not interested in helping them selves or others. This country won't be around as long as it has and I believe we are closer to the end and the future won't be a place of American dreams. We are broke financially and morally, so sad. Don't be friends with your children, be their father and or mother and help them understand what it is to be polite, curitious, and have self respect. Guess I should be a preacher.

I was loading at the villages at Palestine year before last and I was in line. Now my wife drives the boat onto the trailer, which by the way was videoed at caddo because so ladies on the dock had never seen such. I spoke the the guy in line behind me that it would only take me a minute or two, he looked puzzled and said " you must be a bad a$$, and laughed he told me it takes him 15 minutes to load his jet ski. Atleast he was honest. Glad I was ahead of him.

Problem is there is way to many folks here that are not from here. So their bs follows them.

Then if you go to Lewisville you have to have sleeved arms to get on the water.

The best part of it is that there is not a damn thing we can do about it.

It's a migration of sorts.

Native Texans are being flushed out by getting trampled over by the stamped of jack wagons moving here.

If you want to fish a lake in North Texas the weekend is out unless you can put up with ignorance, and especially a holiday weekend anywhere.

Guess that is why I don't have any problems at the ramp.

Couple of weekends ago at Millers Creek Reservoir, some bass club was doing their weigh-in and had a line of boats blocking 1/2 the ramp at the top where we turn around and back down from the parking lot. I found the boss man and asked him to get the ramp cleared and he just gave me a dumb look, like he thought they owned the damn lake or something. Won't mention the club but you all know who you are, and you didn't represent yourselves well at all "sportsmen" 🤔

Yesterday on Texoma I am waiting to load my boat up, there is a ski boat backed down almost to the water and a truck pulled up beside the boat charging the battery, I could not believe it, had the entire ramp blocked, about the time I was going to lose it they got the engine started, the lady operating the boat was hot so it was not too bad waiting, watching.

Yesterday on fork, I had a guy wave my wife in front of him so that we could get loaded. He was by himself and didn't want to be in the way when he unloaded....
What was he thinking???

Admit it guys, we've all done some dumb stuff at the ramp at one time of another. When someone is really trying to get it right at the ramp I back off and give it some room. People like those in the orginal post, well, they are among us, sad but true. Most of us fish (and boat) for the pure joy of being on the water (catching a few dosen't hurt either). Don't let some jerk take to away from you. Most of you younger guys will find out with age comes more patience (I know, took me awhile). There's to many crazies these days that will hurt you (or you them) over this kind of stuff. Take the high road, you'll feel better on the drive home.
