and I did not get a bump for 3 hours! I did not make any dough bait so I could not see if it were my bait or just not biting. anyone use boilies? they are scopex flavor (whatever that is)

they smell like buttered bread dough. I dipped them in strawberry oil to see if that would get a bite but nothing.

tips? I know they are there and I usually catch several at my spot.

anyway i hate getting skunked. I will try them again but if no luck I will dump them and go back to my tried and true dough bait i make.

Boilies don't work on every body of water. Most of the time you have to get them used to eating boilies. I'd concentrate on using boiled deer corn(maize) on a hair rig.

Bowfishing sucks

I am just getting back into Carp fishing. I have caught two here in TX along with a couple of Buffalo. I live in Spring, TX and am looking for good Carp waters around the Spring area. Anyone got any tips on bodies of water with good Carp, Commons, Koi, Mirror, etc? I am fishing state and regional parks, starting on smaller waters, testing baits, presentations, etc. Any info on Tom Bass Regional, Lake Somerville, Lake Houston, Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, Woodlands Lake, etc. I am not trying to catch Grass Carp. I am looking to increase PB's. I used to be a paylake fisherman back East (NC), retired from military service, relocated from WA state, to TX last summer. Only been fishing here for Carp for a couple on months, Caught two fish, PB wild water thus far is 16 lbs. Small, I know, but we all have to start somewhere. I started from the very beginning. Any help fellow Carpers on waters in the Spring, TX area is greatly appreciated. Need bank access as I do not have a boat. Tight Line!
