Had the pleasure of taking Rodney (aka Rod454) out this morning to pay off the donation, and when we met up first thing out of his mouth was I haven't ever tried fishing for crappie doing this. I'm thinking to myself lord help me out here today as I can see jigs on the top of boat house, zipping around my ears etc.
But as we approach the first dock I'm talking to him about the importance of getting to the sweet spot and how to pick out a dock and he's just nodding and says lets go get em.
We pick up a couple here and there and he finally catches his first fish shooting a dock. Not what we are looking for but I says hey a fish is a fish.
We find some crappie that want to play and it's game on.
About noon the holiday traffic starts to pick up so we call it day with a solid limit and everyone goes home happy.
He fished all day without losing a single jig, so all in all a good day. Thanks for coming out Rod we will do it again sometime.
