It is with hesitation that I offer up my very first rod wrapping jig. I'm not sure when it was originally designed and built, but I'm guessing somewhere around the late 70's / early 80's. I have owned it since 1995, and it has served me very well. I've built tons of freshwater and saltwater rods on this jig, and made a few modifications to it as time went by so I could better accommodate the different types built on it.

It comes with 5 rod supports, which include 3 normal V supports, a roller tip support, and a tension-holding support. Each support can be moved along the rod jig to support the rod blank in various positions. The 3 V supports and roller tip support are also adjustable for height. Everything adjust without tools - Wing nuts are used throughout the design.

The thread holder holds two spools of thread, and the tensioner was replaced a few years ago with a newer design.

It also has a 26rpm drying motor, which detaches in a second via a slip fitting.

Very well designed. Very well built. If you are looking for a excellent manual rod building machine, this is it.

I'm asking $100, picked up in San Antonio.

All the best,
Glenn
