We tend to forget the soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who, in the past, gave their lives for our nation. Memorial day reminds us of their sacrifice and our duty to honor them. We do well to remember those who paid for, and continue to pay for, the freedom and safety we enjoy here today. Many of us have forgotten that even now many brave men and women serving in the military are in harms way, today and every day for the last 15 years. Duty, Honor, Service...these are words we ask our servicemen and women to uphold. I love Texas, but I live in the USA and my loyalty is to my country. As we draw near another election cycle let us all remember that those we choose to hold seats of power and influence over our nation, also have authority over the sons and daughters of America who serve in our military. Respect them, remember the sacrifices of those who served before them, and choose wisely.
Thanks for this post, Brad, and for the time spent putting a really great pattern together.
. I have a son in the US Army...6 years active duty and two tours in the middle east...ready and willing to go back at a moments notice. Special thanks to Steven and all those in uniform. God Bless.
