Vern got to ride along this morning for some dock action and even though it was a bit cloudy we managed to find a few and had a good time doing it. Pepop stayed with his hand tied and I was shooting plastics, didn't really mater what color we caught fish nearly everywhere we stopped.
Found some big whites on one dock which is not common.
He was nice enough to let me take the fish, but me thinks he really wanted to take a nap instead of cleaning them.
HA! Just woke up from my afternoon NAP!! LOL!! Actually, Larry LET me catch maybe 10-12 of the fish by putting me in JUST the right spot! I'll admit right here, those Palestine dock fish really prefer PLASTICS over FEATHERS!! Larry "SCHOOLED" me pretty good today but it was a BEAUTIFUL day and a GREAT time on the water with a Brother! I'm tellin you, Larry can "SKIP" a Slab Bandit on 1 hop farther than I can shoot a feather jig, giving it all I have!! He Definitely got his offering back where the TOAD's hang out!!
I had a BLAST today and it was more than my pleasure to send those fish home with Larry! After all, it was WAY PAST my nap time!
Awesome job guys! Still bummed out my trip got rained out. Hope there's still some fish on the docks in a few weeks for the rescheduled trip.
Don't worry Martin, I think Larry will be able to put you on the right docks even if your trip isn't until the end of June! You're gonna have a BLAST!! Keyboard knows his SKITTLES when it comes to Dock Shootin!!
BTW Matthew (Jiggum), I tried to get Larry to take a picture of me down in the cockpit shootin like you do so I could rib you about how much weight you've gained since you "Retired", but he didn't want you to feel he was being disloyal lettin me use YOUR chair! LOL! Besides, I didn't have an ORANGE cap!
