So i bought a humminbird helix 7 DI GPS. Installed it and now I cant figure out why there is no SD card slot. It said it takes something called a micro card. What is that? I have a navionics sd card but there is no slot that I can find for it. AM I screwed or do I just need to buy a new microcard?

The micro sd is in the adapter slot.

Hopefully your Navonics card is just a micro card in a SD adaptor.

The micro sd card slot for the Helix 7 is on the left side of the housing towards the middle of the screen. There is a small panel cover that pops off and will expose the micro sd card slot

If your nav card does not have a micro sd, you will need to upgrade your card or upgrade to a Helix 9, 10 or 12. The 9, 10 and 12 accept full size sd cards. You can buy a Navionics Update card for $100 or a Lakemaster card for $125. Both of these cards have the micro sd or full size adapter

You might go back a try to get your dealer to set you up with the bundle promotion navionics currently going on and get a great discount on a new card.
