Thanks Hoggwild, I noticed that when I got to the spillway yesterday. There were a few more white bass and hybrids being caught yesterday.

Lake level is 248.12 so it has started to recede, but still extremely slow at this point.

Water was over the boat ramp road at Overlook in a low spot but the ramp remains open at this time. Water has also crept up quite a ways in the emergency overflow area. With the rain expected, things still don't look promising.

Lake level receded to 248 ft. 10 ft above normal and releasing 2167 cfs. It's raining again today. Hopefully, it won't get to heavy. The Brazos and the Yegua water shed are both taking on water though. I noticed the water below the dam had risen about 6 inches to a foot so the Brazos is still taking on some water from the previous rains.

Fishing below the dam has still been pretty good for white bass, hybrids and catfish.

Gates are currently still full open.

My prayers

Yes I was watching the underground weather station. 15.96 inches yesterday and another 2.97 inches after midnight. I also got a report that the Birch Creek area had about the same amount. 17 inches plus in other areas around Brenham and Lake Somerville.

Lake Level is 255.57 ft. 17.5 feet above normal and continuing to rise. Dam gates are still wide open and releasing over 2300 cfs.

I checked out the Overlook marina website. There was significant damage to the marina, as well as, there was damage to the new marina that is being built.

I feel bad for all the parks around the lake. Last year was bad and this is going to destroy a lot of work that was done to get things going again. Guessing it will be going over the spillway in a couple days.

At the rate it's climbing in may go over the emergency spillway tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Lake level is 256.18 ft, 18.18 ft above normal and over an inch more rain has fallen today.

The vast majority of the floodwater up in the Yegua watershed hasn't even made it to the lake yet. This is going to make history. I'll try to get a look at the lake Saturday morning if I can get to it..

258.4 New record!

I'm not too concerned with any of the man made stuff but the loss of old growth oak tress from excessive flooding is worrisome. Same thing happening on the Trinity, Navasota, and other bottoms.
