does anyone know if you need a salt water license to fish Clear Lake near Houston? my son lives there and i am going there this weekend

yep,its south of IH-10. Cought a lot of bass in the canals by Nasa

Begging your pardon Colonel but there are great eating fish being caught in Clear lake. That league City Park has flounder, Reds, Specks and you can take em home clean them up, cook them or give em to me!!!

Not Clear Lake but very close.

Saltwater Consumption Advisories

TDSHS recommends limiting consumption of certain fish in these areas as indicated below.

Clear Creek upstream and west of Clear Lake in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston and Harris counties
Chemical of Concern:Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)•
Persons should not consume any species of fish from these waters.

I believe that is closer to the San Jacinto Monument area off of 146 and is or used to be considered an EPA super fund site, when those existed.
