Never fished this tourny before but I've always heard alot of good things about it and how well it's run. Will be fishing it with my son and this is his first tourny ever, so I am really looking forward to it.Anyone who has fished this tourny in the past tell me what to expect? Thanks in advance.

Lots and lots of people, just enjoy the experience and take it all in. It is ran really well. Understand going in that people will probably be fishing close to you, no way to avoid it, as long as you understand that you will have a good time

Fished it last year for the first time. I'll say this when I saw a boat coming across the main lake in the opposite direction before daylight without his lights on and about another 30 all around us running full speed, I decided life is too short to fish one of these big events. Too crowded, too many idiots, y'all can have it all. My dad has a place on Fork and I can't stand going down there because of these events.

I was impressed with how Skeeter takes care of all the boats and trailers for free that have small little problems on them. They even had the depth finder companies there upgrading and fine tuning peoples equipment for free.

There are always some, but overall it is a great time. Just have to have your head on a swivel when running the main lake, and move over if you don't feel safe at speed. There have been some years when it felt like getting into the main boat lanes was like merging on to LBJ freeway or North Dallas Tollway, but still a fun well run tournament.

Like what little problems do they fix for trailers and boats? Do they charge for parts and labor at a discount or what kind of happens? I've never fished one but will be there this year.

The Skeeter tournament is put on by Chad Potts and BassChamps.
They are a first class organization.
The lake will be crowded but plenty of room for everyone.
Takes a little getting used to fishing close to other boats, I usually strike up a conversation with the boats around me.
Most always run into friendly people.
Have a great time. Own a different brand boat now or I would be there for sure.

Won't be as crowded as McDonalds or Legend. As long as you don't fish the main lake it won't be bad at all.
