Atx fellas
Wife has a wedding in austin this weekend, and I have some down time. Was thinking about getting a day in on ladybird and a day on travis
how muddy are they with all this rain?
Is it worth dragging my boat down from Dallas?
thanks for the help

Travis will be clear and you should be able to catch a ton of fish. LBL, depends on the water flow, but if it's not flowing too bad you should be able to catch fish there too.

Travis is clear and fish are eating. LOTS of small fish up shallow. Better quality are out deep and my better bite has been in 20 to 40ft. Use your electronics and you will find them.

Chris, I was going to try to get out Monday morning while the party crowd was still hung over and passed out. Have you been finding them suspended in the depth over deeper water or in the tree tops are the listed depth.
I am still trying to figure out fishing that deep and differentiating black bass from striper / whites when they are deep. If you could shoot some screen shots like you have in the past that would be awesome.
Thanks.

Thanks. I've found them suspended and on the bottom. Lately if you follow any main lake point out close to the river channel or main creeks......they are on the drop. They are starting to get on the ledges. Typically I've been finding them out in 40-50ft suspended. I've found/graphed them in the tree tops and had some luck. Mostly I've been throwing large 6 and 7" Spaits spoons and 7/8oz War Eagle spoons to target the deeper ones. A lot of the time when I've found them stacked....it's ended up being 10" blacks with a combo of perch mixed in. Usually when I find that, I break out the larger flutter spoon and go to work......those big girls will be close by because there is plenty of food to eat when they choose. There are a lot of smaller fish up shallow and a fluke or BBH with an 1/8th to 3/16th oz weight has been the ticket. I've been taking my daughters out and they have been wearing out those small rats up shallow. There have been some better fish up shallow, but it has usually required a few key elements to be preset: flooded brush (with slime) and an adjacent deep marina. IMO they come out from under those marinas to feed in those bushes because the smaller fish are there and then move back into the shade up under neath. Also don't forget about your stairwells. Several of those stairwells and walkways descend 20-50ft below the water. I've found them suspended around these also. **crappy pic quality....but you get the idea.
