Well I'm not real thrilled with the results, but after some fine tuning it could make for a interesting bait. Open to criticism aswell.

It's a good starting point. The blue color on the upper half and the yellow orange on the lower half make a good bright color combo. Experimenting with the detail on the gills and back should produce some interesting patterns. Best part of lure painting is creating the patterns. thumb

I'm thinking like a wiked detail Moss green on the upper back and nose over the blue then coming back in with the blue gill accents. Also after looking at more reference photos I need to take the splotches all the way down the sides. I'm going to revisit this one a little later in the week to see how close I can get to a real pumpkinseed.
