Promised my buddy I would bass fish with him today, so I did not take live bait for sunnies. After fishing for awhile, I could not resist the temptation to pick up my sunfish rod. Tried several kinds of artificial baits, plus corn, and nothing worked except a 1/16 oz jig head with a little bubble belly grub. Only caught four on it, but I brought them home to use with some fillets in the freezer to make a meal for myself and spouse tomorrow night. I never get tired of looking at the various species, they are such pretty fish. Enjoyed catching the redears, they are strong little fighters, definitely put a bend in the UL rod.

Thanks for the reply Banker. They definitely won't go to waist. Love those sunfish dinners.

Nice job, E! Don't blame you needing to pick up the ultra light. Bass fishin' bores me to tears after an hour or two...
