Great fish...that area looks like the cut just west of the island, between the river and the east bank.

Water looks more clear than north end of the mountain.. I am thinking Grapevine or Lewisville.. the hogs are biting at lewisville too

Congrats on the fish seriously what a beauty!!! Why such a secret?? I mean is the lake the fish was caught at and general area such as south end or west side such a secret or advantage? I am a beginner with bass fishing but I understand the exact location would not be shared, however when someone asks me where I have caught my 2 big fish(both about 7.5-8lbs) so far I tell them what lake and what cove.. I also understand the forum is full of fisherman and we all might go launch our boats and head right to that area, but I just want to know if my home lake just produced a nice fish like that!!

The gentleman who caught the fish asked me to not disclose the body of water. As most know on here I'm pretty open with information as I don't really fish many tournaments so it's not that big of deal to me.

Yeah his best five went over 30lbs... Had a 7 and a 5 and change too... The lake holds some good ones, but can be a hit or miss for sure.
