My wife and I rented a cabin on Texoma for memorial day weekend. Has anyone eaten at Pelicans Landing or The Point restaurant? Are there any places other than The Island you would recommend?

The catfish platter in Willis Oklahoma. Best catfish on the planet. They're only open Friday and Saturday 4-9pm.
I don't know what pelican point is, unless you mean pelicans landing. It's pretty good, too, if its open. Haven't eaten at the point in years, but it was good, just a little pricey.

Napolis Italian has been very good for my wife and I. Nothing fancy, but good food and service. Hits the spot after a day on the lake.

Do you want right there in Pottsboro or will you go to Denison? Angela's in Denison is the old chef from tanglewood and has some very good eats. Sage in Sherman on the northwest side of the square is really good but only open till 2pm on Saturday. Amigos in the tanglewood strip is not bad texmex. Napolis is pretty good Italian and the pizza is pretty legit. Get the pizza dough bread because it is amazing. If your close to highport you can pick up pork chops at anchors up(aka ankles up) on Fridays and they are really good. Call it in and pick it up though If you have a boat go to cedar mills as it is worth it. Watch the chart and make a big S coming in since it is shallow in some spots.

Ankles up. Too funny. I've lived within 15 miles of texoma for a long time and I've never heard that nickname. I don't go to bars anymore so that might be why, but I lol'd when I read that.

Honestly the pork steak dinner is about as good as it gets You can't beat the price and the amount of food the double chop dinner gets you.
