You are not far from Galveston if you want a fair room but you'd have to cross the ferry to get to Rollover. Also, there are some rooms on Bolivar not far from Chrystal Beach. Of course, you can stay off of I-10 and come into Rollover from High island. it depends. I always drive in from NW Houston so its an hour drive or so for me.

I went to Rollover Pass last July, and really was un-impressed followed the WebPage, so ready for a good time, and all I saw was Trash!!! and small fish. I am sure folks catch good fish around there, but the trash was like a Homeless country club.. JMO I would go to Galveston, or San Luis Pass, etc.

yeah, it can get pretty trashy sometimes and in more than one way. but like already said, some great fishing at times. also can be very dangerous if wading.
