My Brother in law had his boat come untied sometime after midnight on Friday night north of Hearne on the Brazos river. I launched my boat at 3 on Saturday and ran hard all the way to Bryan when we ran out of light and it became dangerous. We need the help of the river fishing community to help find this boat if at all possible. No telling where it is by now. Hopefully some kind soul finds it and calls it into TPWD. It is an old 1448 Monark flat bottom with a brand new 20 hp Suzuki 20 hp. The boat is tan. If you have any info on this boat call or text me. (979)777-8064
Thanks

Were you above the rocks on the Brazos? (FM 485 bridge)If you were, those whirlpools might have taken it down there. She might be in some brush down river where the Yegua comes in. Might be enough current to push it towards the bank there. Might want to let the sheriff department know in the down river counties. We fish where Little River comes into the Brazos. Well keep our eye out for it when the river comes back down.

The boat was lost above 485 but the Brazos county Sherriff's office got a call on Saturday evening (daylight) reporting an unmanned boat just north of Hwy 60. The volunteer fire department launched a couple hours later to search for it at hwy 60 but did not go far and gave up.
We put my boat in at Yegua creek this afternoon and ran all the way to 60. River was beautiful but another heartbreak. That boat is likely almost to salt water. All we can hope for now is someone to catch it and turn it in. Hopefully everyone else can learn from such a screw up. Insure your boat....it's cheap and tie it up GOOD!
Keep the word out guys. Need your help.

This whole thing sounds like a theft to me, starting with the boat coming "untied" by itself.
