I have not been on this lake yet but headed over with the wife on Sat to do some bass fishing. Any navigational issues I should be aware of? How is the fishing?

Bill the lower lake is clear except some floating logs around mid lake. If you do not have the boat lane marked, stay clear of it the poles are just 1/2 under the surface they will take your lower unit out.

Just changed over to Lakemaster chip instead of navionics so I doubt I have boat lanes or anything marked anymore. Seems like most lakes down here keep track of how many lower units they can claim!

coming from the lower end once you get up to Johnson creek, stay to the right of center on the main lake. there's a forest on the left. Usually you can see it, not sure what the lake level is right now, but from that island on up there is a lot of timber on that side.

You can run the right side from Johnson up past alley almost to the big main lake point past alley. If you've never been i would idle through that stretch on the point.

generally speaking, idle once you get past the bridges in the lower lake creeks like alley, johnson, hurricane. assuming you can get under the bridges right now.

Poles are just under the surface in Copeland, Meddlin, and the main boat run from mid lake to north of the bridge. Lots of pipe in front of Pop's Landing also.
Proceed with caution in those areas.
