Gilmer is full of timber.
All you gotta worry about is potlickers if you start catching fish.
P.S. I wouldn't want to be in Seymour either!!
God loves you just as much as anybody else!!
Jesus offered His life as a gift for you. Please accept it!

What is the traffic on a holiday like there at Gilmer? We will be there this weekend and was thinking about fishing there There is always a lot of traffic, but it is slow going on Gilmer! They did not remove any timber when the lake was built, so be extra careful everywhere you travel on this lake! Good luck!

I used to fish Gilmer when I lived in Tyler and loved that little lake. My lab always went with me in my boat and he loved to jump in the lake to swim, especially on hot days. One day when I was launching my boat the game warden was there and he told me that I shouldn't let my dog swim in the lake because he had seen a gator in the lake.
