Gilmer is full of timber.

All you gotta worry about is potlickers if you start catching fish.

P.S. I wouldn't want to be in Seymour either!!

There is always a lot of traffic, but it is slow going on Gilmer! They did not remove any timber when the lake was built, so be extra careful everywhere you travel on this lake! Good luck!

I like my fishing like a whino likes his wine!

I used to fish Gilmer when I lived in Tyler and loved that little lake. My lab always went with me in my boat and he loved to jump in the lake to swim, especially on hot days. One day when I was launching my boat the game warden was there and he told me that I shouldn't let my dog swim in the lake because he had seen a gator in the lake.
