I went to high school and lived in Houston for 12 years but never fished Lake Conroe. High school buddy Tom got a place on LC and wanted to do a little high school reunion and asked to show him how to catch hybrids and sandies. I can teach but don't know LC so I decided to hire the Pro and I knew exactly to call...Lake Livingston Adventures GS. Another high school buddy from from cali flew in the night before. I've only seen my two buddies about 3 times in 30 years and the last time was 15 years ago.

Guide Michael Richardson is the younger brother of Chris Richardson. He came all the way from lake Livingston and picked us up timely at our house dock at 7am. He normally doesn't fished LC in May due to heavy boat traffics but said he would do it for me smile

Our first spot, a short 5 minute boat ride from the house, Michael used his side scan and found the mother load of hybrids. We caught hybrids almost on every drop for at least an hr on slabs.

The fish moved off, Michael hunted em down about a few hundred yards using side scan and found mother load #2 LOL! Fast and furious catching for another hour. All post spawn and very hungery hybrids! LOL! We got 3 hookups, and all four hookups several times. Buddy Tom was catching the heck out of em and could not believe the fish were so close to his house, he drove by the spots hundreds of times, and the fish bite on this funny lead thing called "slabs"?? Jigging it up and down ?LOL.

We wanted to learn more spots and at spot #3, just a short 5 minute ride. ...Bam! the mother load of hybrids #3...are you kidding me ??!! LOL! Man, I hated having these problems and been missing out on LC. After another hr of fast catching, I asked Michael to show us more spots and he was very accommodating and knowledgeable of LC.

Man, Lake Conroe got serious money! The homes, marinas, restaurants, shops are super nice! And the fishing is good too LOL. Best kept secrete in Texas??

After Michael showed us several more spots we decided to check back the old spots and do a little more catching before heading in. A few hybrids were still around and we picked up a few more and decided to call it a day at noon.

I was very pleased with LLA guide service and was counting my blessing for such a fun day and successful trip! 100+ hybrids and only one pesky sandy lol.

A few pics from our adventure with Lake Livingston Adventures on Conroe to brag and share grin Oh, Michael said lake Livingston is hot now also and the map shows LL is about 5 times bigger than LC? That's huge!

It is nice getting together with friends you have not seen in a while. Sounds like you will be making this road trip more often.

Great report Todd! I'm glad Michael was able to put you on fish. Conroe can be a tough lake at times but Michael knows it well. Nice Pics!

Thanks guys! smile

Thanks for accommodating us on Conroe, Chris and Michael. I didn't realize Livingston is an hour away. I did tip appropriately to cover for gas smile It was a great catching and lake Conroe learn trip. Our expectations were exceeded and we are very satisfied customers smile I asked Tom to book Michael for winter deadstick lesson.

We went back out the next morning, Saturday, on Tom's 21ft Jet Yamaha Ski boat with no FF or TM lol. I used my phones navionics and we drifted thru the Dump humps in 21ft and slabbed un 25 hybrids lol. Until the winds got too high. Here's one hibbie from Saturday morning grin
