Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass TX has by the the most flounder gigging guides than anyone else and for good reason night after they get limits of flounder on a regular bases. I would strongly suggest hiring a guide. All you need is a fishing license and a cooler of drinks everything else is provided even the fish cleaning and all gigging is done from the boats. Now if hiring a guide is not a option I suggest walking highway 361 from Aransas Pass to Port Aransas it always seems to hold some flounder. Don't be afraid to rework ground. Often I have worked a area only to strike out and then 3 hours later it's a flounder convention. If gigging on foot don't forget to shovel those feet lots of stingrays right now so please use caution when gigging on foot. Us guides have been seeing limits of flounder with mixed in number of sheepshead which make a great bonus for any trip. It's been taking a average of 4 hours to get everyone's limit. I had a few trips where people were pretty drunk and missed a lot of fish, those trips a little longer.
