Had a few hours this afternoon so I decided I'd hit Martin Lake and do a little bass fishing. Done very little bass fishing this year. After an hour of fishing I caught one bass and lost it at the boat....heck with this.... broke out my crappie rod, headed to the bridge and quickly put 18 in the livewell. All good 11 and 12 inch fish. Water was a bit stained from the recent rains but the bite was still fantastic. 1/16 oz. Texas Toast was on the menu today and they loved it. Fish were suspended around the 8 foot mark. Hated to leave them biting but I had to get home. Meant to take more pics but was having too much fun.

Good decision to get away from those trash fish & ya done good on tha good fish.....Those pics can get in the way of having fun & they take a back seat often on my trips....
