Everyone does some version of a sexy shad, and I can't compete price wise with Strike King. So, I thought I would give it a shot, but up the game a little. What do you think? First is a New Orleans Street Corner Sexy shad  And then more of a W Hotel Escort Sexy shad

Nice colors. Use fine mesh on the upper gill area where you have the gold on the W Hotel Escort Sexy shad. It produces a very nice tiny scale effect. Beautiful work

I've looked for smaller mesh material--mostly just looking at loofas. Where might I find smaller mesh material?

walmart in the craft area. they have veil material with three sizes of openings. a yard will last you forever. joanns fabrics also has some as well as hobby lobby.

Small mesh. Screen door fabric. Stainless pipe screens are very fine.
