I fish there a lot but I wouldn't say it is my home lake.

I live in little elm right near the ramp. I fish lewisville as often as possible. With an 11 month old that went from 6~6 times a week down to about 2~3 times. I am either on my pontton (white bennington) with 20 drift master rod holders and a 48" light bar on the front or my 18'grizzly with a tiller motor (duck/punch bait boat) if you see me holler at me or pm me here. I am always looking for like minded fellas to fish with. Most of the time I am fishing solo
If i dont suceed i will die trying

I'm in Highland Village and fish 2-3 times a month. I fish out of Tower Bay in a 16' Lund. Fish about 50/50 for either cats or crappie. Prefer to fish winter when the dang skiers are not on the lake. Tend to stay on West side of the lake or the old lake.
Preserving Texas fishing heritage one lure at a time.

My home lake is Lewisville and have a boat on the water. I fish it 3-4 times a week. PM me anytime and we can meet there. I just moved to the area and started really fishing it hard. I'm still learning the lake, but have had good luck so far.

Cree,
Good to "meet" you and I look forward to making new friends on the lake! I have been primarily hitting the sandies and black bass as they're so hot right now. I still haven't figured out the hybrids yet...not sure where they are or if they've moved from the shallows yet.
I fish A LOT! Fly rod. Spinning. Inshore. You name it! But my heart lies with the Big Blues when I'm in fresh water! I will definitely send you a text. My boat is always ready to go and I'm going to be installing new Bee Ready's this weekend in preparation for my next Blue trip.
See you soon!
Ramon

Catfish are really biting NOW on Lewisville. Blues and channels are in the shallows with the flooded bushes. Find any wind blown pocket with 2-4ft of flooded bushes. Throw cut shad about a 1-2 ft under a cork and you will catch plenty. If you can't catch shad any bait should work-shrimp, earthworms, maybe punch bait although that's more channel cat food. The first couple of main lake pockets on either side of the BIG main lake point (don't know the name of the point) but it's the main point coming out of Tower Bay going North towards the rest of the lake.

Are you talking about the main lake point you idle by as you're leaving Tower Bay (you idle between the point and the marina tire reef)? Not sure if that one has a name. From there, the pocket on the north shore would have a south wind blowing into them. There are several pockets along that shore between the big main lake point I-35 bridge and the big main lake point that you would turn left at to head north towards the old dam (there is a name for that point I just can't think of it now).

Not sure how you still find time to fish once a week with a young'n. I live near Little Elm park and call it my home lake. However, I sold my boat last fall due to lack of use because of a young'n. If you're ever lookin to fill a seat give me a shout! Still have all my gear just no boat
