We are looking to buy a house at Cedar Creek and are a little concerned about the water depth. Was gonna see if anyone could give insight. The house is on Rueda Encina in Gun Barrel City. Right now the water is 5'6" under the dock. Curious if anyone knows this cove and if it goes dry often? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Look at annual lake level data. We were buying a house on Bridge;port and were concerned about the same. The realto provided the last 20 years average lake levels.

The lake is 100% full right now so your dock will probably be unlaunchable if the lake is any more than 3.5-8' low. The current map on google shows that whole cove to be dry.
That translates to no access on drought summers and easy access on wet years. Most coves on the lake are that way.

The property values and soil are better on the east side, as is the fishing in most cases. I lived on the east side while guiding, and I couldn't have been more pleased. As far as water depth, property value and aesthetics go, I would start my search in the Enchanted Oak area, and move south from there.

As for an agent, I recommend Courtney Dickens with McAtee Realty. Her specialty is water front homes, and I can attest to her character both as a friend and professionally. Her number is 903-818-1327. Tell her Lane Palmer says hello.
