Monday Report: Got out and did a little scouting around yesterday. Netted some shad and minnows and got out about 6-6:30pm. North wind had them acting a little funny. Had to bounce around a little bit til I found them pretty concentrated, and it was a fish or a bite every cast once I found them. All catch and release except for 6 slab crappie and a gut-hooked channel cat that I kept for dinner tonight, since they fianc is going out. Pretty good mixed bag. Between 6:30-8:30, I caught 17 channel cats, 2 blue cats, 12 crappie (4 unders), 5 sandies, a undersized hybrid, and I didn't even try to count all the yellow bass. The big key today was fishing around vegetation. Wind didn't matter TOO much. Caught a few more on the wind blown side, but as long as you were fishing the edge of some grass/reeds, hydrilla, weedbeds, etc., you were getting bit. Very productive couple hours. If you want to get in on some action, 50/person gets you a spot during the week. 75/person on the weekends.

The channel cats (and an occasional nice blue) are in full spawning mode, we're catching fish on shallow rocks and almost all of the females are full of eggs. Get em while it's good.
